The Onaga Lady Buffaloes had a successful day on Saturday at the Frankfort tournament going 4-1 on the day and placing 2nd to a 5-0 Cair Paravel team as they find themselves moving up the TVL rankings swiftly. ]
Onaga took down Frankfort 25-19, 25-15 before defeating Jackson Heights 25-23, 25-21 and then dominating Valley Falls 25-17 and 25-13. The final win for Onaga was one they had to work hard for as the Washington County Girls took them to an incredible 30-28 match before the Buffaloes were able to get the win. The Lady Tigers took only 2 losses on the day finishing in 3rd place after wins against Frankfort 25-7, 25-13 and the aforementioned loss at the hands of Onaga. The home squad Frankfort did pick up one win and in rather big fashion defeating Valley Falls 25-10, 25-11. Frankfort would finish in 5th place with a 1-4 record. The teams get back on the court right away, with Onaga at Burlingame for a triangular on Monday, while Frankfort and Washington County are at Centralia for a tri on Tuesday.
