In what was an incredible game throughout it was an Eli Morton single that would become the game winner for Frankfort's 4-3 victory over Doniphan West on Monday.
The game was tied at three in the top of the seventh when Morton lined out, scoring one run.
Doniphan West first got on the board when Cooper Eberly singled, scoring one run.
Frankfort jumped back into the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Henry Ketter singled down the right field line, and Doniphan West committed an error, each scoring one run.
Tabin Clary singled to center field, which helped Doniphan West tie the game at three in the bottom of the fifth.
Wes Anderson earned the win for Frankfort. Anderson allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out five and walking two. Ty Smith began the game for Frankfort , surrendering one hit and one run over two and one-third innings, striking out four and walking two. While Cooper Eberly led things off on the mound for Doniphan West and gave up three hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out 10 and walking four.
Frankfort's Carter Olson set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Frankfort with two hits in four AB's. Wes Anderson and Henry Ketter each drove in one run for Frankfort.
Peyton Adams led Frankfort with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.
